A controversy blew up when I worked at The Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Neides was Vice Chair and Chief Operating Officer of Cleveland Clinic Wellness, as well as the Associate Director of Clinical Education for The Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. But he unceremoniously got the boot when he (I believe innocently) questioned the link between vaccines and autism on a social media platform on his own time that was independent from the hospital where he worked. It was quite a brewha amongst CCF staff which I thought was odd (this was long before Covid made everything odd) because as I put it, whether you agree or not, isn’t science supposed to question things? If you call yourself a science based organization but you get fired for just the mere suggestion that maybe we should look into something, regardless if it’s status quo, then guess what? You’re an arrogant fascist dictatorship NOT the altruistic democratic care giving organization you pretend to be. I thought it was a shame back then. And, a worse shame now. https://www.respectfulinsolence.com/2018/01/12/whatever-happened-to-dr-daniel-neides-a-year-after-he-was-forced-to-leave-the-cleveland-clinic-because-of-his-antivaccine-rant/

Spoiler Alert: This article was written by an asshole.
